Clos Albertus
Created in 2002, Clos Albertus has been produced since 2010 by Jacques Rambeaud, a passionate winemaker established on Bordeaux’s Right Bank. This estate stands out for its environmentally respectful approach, practicing sustainable viticulture certified HVE (High Environmental Value).
The vines flourish on silty-clay soil resting on limestone and clay subsoil, benefiting from southern exposure at the foot of hillsides. This particular geological configuration gives the wine its unique personality. The controlled yield of 50 hL/hectare, combined with attentive viticultural practices such as green harvesting and leaf removal, guarantees optimal grape quality.
Clos Albertus stands out with its unusual blend for the region: one-third Merlot, one-third Cabernet Franc, and one-third Cabernet Sauvignon. This balanced composition produces a precise and subtle wine with fine, silky tannins.
Vignobles Rambeaud cultivates their land with respect for past and future generations. Their approach prioritizes listening to nature, with sulfite-free winemaking and meticulous grape selection. This authentic approach aims above all for tasting pleasure, creating wines “brimming with delight” that faithfully reflect their terroir of origin.
