Château Tour du Pas Saint-Georges
Château Tour du Pas Saint-Georges, owned by Vignobles Delbeck, spans 14 hectares of vineyards with an average age of 25 years, planted on hillsides facing south and southeast.
Blessed with a terroir composed of clay-limestone soils with molasse on a foundation of clay and Périgord sands, the estate features grape varieties comprising 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc.
The harvest is carried out at physiological maturity through berry tasting. The innovative winery enables plot-by-plot vinification using small-volume tanks. Blending takes place after malolactic fermentation. Aging lasts 18 months with 30% in new barrels, 20% in barrels previously used for white wine fermentation, and 50% in one-wine barrels.
The château produces three cuvées: Château Tour du Pas Saint-Georges, as well as l’Âme de Saint-Georges, an exceptional cuvée made from six different grape varieties, and Le Sablier, a second wine crafted primarily from young vines.
Wine and wine-infused salt (Seldevin) can be purchased at the château shop, open Monday to Friday from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 5pm.
