Château Bellevue

Présentation de la propriété
Rooted in the wine-growing history of Saint-Émilion since 1830, Château Bellevue currently spans an exploited area of 21 hectares. Located between the cities of Montagne and Saint-Georges, the vineyard boasts an exceptional terroir characterized by southern hillsides with clay-limestone soils, typical of the region.
Awarded the HVE 3 certification in recognition of its environmental commitment, Château Bellevue employs winemaking methods that respect local traditions and conducts meticulous work in both vineyard and cellar.
Production focuses primarily on the Merlot grape variety. The winemaking process is particularly refined. Wines are aged for three to four years in concrete vats and an underground cellar, allowing for natural maturation. The result is a complex and elegant wine, powerful, tannic, velvety, and blessed with an excellent aging potential.
Château Bellevue’s mention as a premier cru bourgeois in the 1850 edition of the Féret Guide attests to the consistency and quality of its wine production, a domain belonging to the Gaury family.
At Bellevue, wine tastings are conducted without appointment.
Visitors can discover the various wine ranges of Château Bellevue with owner Éric Gaury, who also opens his cellars to them.
