Château Saint-André Corbin

Présentation du château

A wine estate with a rich history, Château Saint-André-de-Corbin exists in its current form since 1842. It stands on ancient Gallo-Roman remains dating from the 1st and 4th centuries, on a site that some historians believe may have housed the Gallo-Roman villa “Lucaniacus,” property of Consul Ausonius.

The estate is distinguished by its highly homogeneous terroir. Its clay-limestone soil, ideally oriented southward facing Saint-Émilion, benefits from optimal sunlight exposure and perfect drainage, essential conditions for the quality of its wine production.

In the 1950s, the Saby family took over the vineyard’s operations, comprising 18 hectares in Saint-Georges-Saint-Émilion, 5 hectares in Montagne-Saint-Émilion, a plot in Lussac-Saint-Émilion, as well as lands in Lalande-de-Pomerol. Today, the vines classified as Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, once vinified at Château Saint-André-Corbin, are produced at Château Rozier, the ancestral home of the Saby family located in Saint-Laurent-des-Combes.

The estate has built a reputation for its elegant wines.
