Château Canon La Forêt

Founded in the late 1970s by Mario Mio, a former vineyard worker in prestigious Pomerol estates, Château Canon La Forêt combines winemaking tradition and innovation. Assisted by his parents and his wife Léonor, Mario gradually built this estate by purchasing and planting plots.
The Canon La Forêt vineyard now spans 25 hectares of siliceous-clay slopes benefiting from optimal sunlight exposure. Mainly located in the Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur AOC, it has expanded with new plots in Montagne Saint-Émilion, Saint-Georges, and Pomerol, with the latter two each producing approximately 1,000 bottles per year.
Vinification takes place in a wine warehouse located in Artigues-de-Lussac, where each production step receives meticulous attention. This commitment is reflected in the characteristic profile of the estate’s wines: aromatic richness, controlled power, harmonious balance, and excellent aging potential.
It is now Cédric Mio who continues the family adventure with the support of his parents. Under his guidance, Château Canon La Forêt perpetuates a winemaking philosophy where technical expertise meets respect for the terroir.
